The Bally slot machine doesn't need anyone monkeying around with it, it functions perfectly and if something does go wrong usually its something that can be resolved with cleaning, replacing a bad coil, you never need to bend contacts, cut wires, disassemble anything the machine is easily repaired using the least amount of work keeping in mind. Very complete schematics and exploded diagrams from Bally service manuals for most every slot from the period. This is a MUST HAVE for any owner or collector of these great old machines. There is not much background, just the facts and information needed to maintain the Electo-Mechanical Bally.

Bally Slot Machine Repair
I'm running out of places to ask this question. I recently bought an antique bally series e slot machine at auction. 2 locks, one arm one on the door. I had a locksmith out and he was able to fit a key to the arm lock, but the door lock was glued in. He told me how to remove and I did. But I still can't get the door open. Coins fall through to tray so game is unplayable and without opening the door I'm not sure what else i can do. Suggestions would be most welcome.
